Preliminary announcement for the

6^th NEM General Assembly

on 4^th and 5^th March 2008 in Luxembourg

 

(1^st day from 2:00 pm – 2^nd day until 1:00 pm)

 

Venue: EC - Plateau du Kirchberg -  Jean Monnet Building Conference Complex

           Rue Alcide de Gasperi, L-2920 Luxembourg

The 6^th General Assembly of the NEM Initiative will be held in Luxembourg on 4^th and 5^th March 2008.

Please reserve this date in your diary as this event will provide a significant opportunity to become actively involved in NEM activities both in terms of the ongoing NEM work and preparation for FP7 Call 3 and next ICT work programme.

The 6^th General Assembly will address the following topics:

• NEM achievements to date and future NEM activities and actions

• Details about 2008 NEM Summit conference, to be held in autumn 2008.

• Presentations of new NEM R&D priorities and launch of work on next version of NEM SRA document

• Presentations of EC officers on trends and prospects for NEM related research, and in particular on Networked Media Research future Workprogramme and on Call 3, namely Intelligent Content and Semantics

• Expression of interests from NEM members for creation of project consortiums for Call 3

……..and of course some time for networking.

On-line registration is open now via on-line registration form.

Registration deadline is 25 February 2008!

Thanks to support from European Commission, Unit INFSO.E2 - Content and Knowledge - Luxemburg, there will be no fees for participation at the 6^th NEM General Assembly. However, in order to attend the General Assembly, all participants have to register by using on-line registration form, which will be available on NEM website: www.nem-initiative.org.

Agenda for the 5^th NEM General Assembly will be available early February  2008.
